Beehavior Ranch is a small-scale, stationary beekeeping operation in Ingham and Clinton counties in Michigan. Its beekeepers, Ana Heck and Dan Wyns, live on the Eastside of Lansing and share between them a couple of decades of experience managing bees. Ana was introduced to beekeeping when she lived in Nicaragua for 2 years while working with a local non-profit organization that engaged in rural development and beekeeping projects. Wyns began working on a commercial beekeeping operation in New Zealand while backpacking, and he stayed for 7 years while developing his own operation. Ana and Dan use the experience they gained working with bees abroad to build a small, local beekeeping operation focused on honey bee health and honey production.
